OSMS22 Host and Speaker Esther Schmit

Esther Schmit

OSMS22 main host & Agile Coach

Everyone should have an Esther! …is what a client and friend once very kindly said.

What she meant is that everyone should have a scrum master at his or her side who keeps a clear overview, maneuvers through any struggles on the work floor and knows how to get to the point.

Besides organizing the OSMS 2022, I am Freelance Agile Coach at ASML and owner of Agile Pro Center. Agile Pro Center offers programs where you learn how to actually apply Scrum in practice.

I love to share my knowledge with others in order for them to grow. Being an Agile Coach I am able to train, mentor and coach multiple teams, Product Owners and Scrum Masters. I too have a coach and mentor, to teach me, to adjust when needed and to do some self-reflection from time to time.

I hope you will enjoy our week full of inspirational talks, and will grow in your role as Scrum Master. We aim to give you practical tips, tricks, tools and templates but most of all: tons of fun!

OSMS22 Speaker Meike Schapink

Meike Schapink

Life Coach

As a lifecoach I am specialised in helping people to design their private and working life fit to them instead of them only adjusting to life and society.

All my life I felt very strongly that I wasn’t fitting in. I often felt very insecure and restless and feared rejection and failure. I felt different from others, though I couldn't quite put my finger on it why.

Often, I had the feeling that no one saw me and maybe that was the case for many people, I made myself small and didn't show myself. I adapted or even ignored myself, made myself invisible.

Only when I started to really listen to myself, to really get to know myself, I could start to distinguish what fitted me and where I was holding myself back.

Now I go faster by slowing down. I work from the heart instead of working really hard and I am more happy and more successful as I have ever been.

Like this I found my place in the world and hold space for others to do the same.

OSMS22 Speaker Carola van Rijswijk

Carola van Rijswijk

Agile Coach

Carola van Rijswijk is a freelance Agile coach and Scrum Master.

She became a real Agile enthusiast in 2014, when she was challenged to implement a new way of working within the company she worked for back then. This didn’t only impact her colleagues but also her own role as a project manager. From that time she took on more challenges and became experienced in the Agile processes and way of working.

From her experience she knows how a transformation can impact business processes and people and therefore how to coach this on management, team and personal level.

Practical with a personal touch she takes people along in their way of fulfilling (new) Agile roles and processes. Three years ago she started her own company RedAhead from which she helps companies with their Agile transition full of passion and energy.

OSMS22 Speaker Mark Robinson

Mark Robinson

Public speaking trainer and coach

Mark Robinson has been giving presentations for over twenty years as part of his work as a software consultant.

By his own admission, he is not a natural presenter but has studied how to speak in public. This culminated in his TEDx talk: “How to present to keep your audience’s attention”.

He has given presentation skills training to more than 800 professionals. Most of his participants are English-speaking technical people in the Eindhoven region. Mark's workshops are practical, which means every participant gets to present at least six times during a workshop. Yet, the workshops also focus on building and boosting confidence by only allowing positive feedback. Perhaps that’s why the average score is above 9/10!
